If you’ve never been, this is a good year to attend. Why? Because the Gilpin County Arts Association is a fun venue with fun people, great local, state and national candidates including our County Commissioner candidates Sandy Hollingsworth and Jeff Aiken, Congressman Joe Neguse, District Attorney Alexis King, State Assembly candidate Lesley Smith, State Board of Education candidate Kathy Gebhardt. While meeting and mingling with the candidates, enjoy live music with Tres Burros, locally prepared food, wine from Augustina’s Winery, beer from Dostal Alley, and a silent auction.
Admission is $25 per person which includes one free glass of beer or wine plus everything listed above.
To be fair, there’s another reason…when our treasurer proposed the 2024 GilpinDems 2024 budget, he convinced the Central Committee to do something we’ve never done before: raise more money than ever and leave a historically low fund balance at the end of the year. The underlying message is that we are putting everything on the line this election cycle.
As much as we hope to have your financial support, we mostly value your support at the ballot box.
